Any excuse for a party.

Why the occasion changes things
Same booth. Very different night.
The hardware barely changes between a wedding and a product launch. The same professional camera, the same studio lighting, the same printer with a strip in hand in twelve seconds. What changes is everything around it — how long you need it running, where it sits in the room, what the print says, and whether the night needs a queue of forty cleared or a reluctant uncle coaxed in front of the lens.
That is why every event has its own page. A 21st needs the booth open late and the props loud. A wedding needs it from the first drink to the dance floor, with an album on the side table and a pen that works. A brand activation needs artwork finalised at least 10 days out and a data capture screen that does not slow the queue down. Booking the same booth badly for the wrong event is the difference between a highlight and a corner of the room nobody visited.
Fifteen years in, we have an opinion on all of it — which booth suits which room, how long to run it, when to book, and what to spend the extra hundred dollars on. Pick your event below and we will tell you what we would do.

Weddings & engagements
The two nights people plan hardest for, and the two where a booth does the most work. Your photographer is shooting the day; the booth is shooting what your guests got up to from the moment they walked in — and handing it to them before they leave.
Birthdays & milestones
From a bar or bat mitzvah to a fiftieth, the pattern is the same: a room full of people who have not all been together in years, ready to do something ridiculous in front of a camera. The booth is there from the moment they walk in.

21st birthdays
Usually Five to six hours
Evidence of the best night of their life.

30th birthdays
Usually Five to six hours
A bit older, a bit busier, a lot more willing to wear a wig at 11pm.

40th birthdays
Usually Five to six hours
The kids are in bed. The party can start.

50th birthdays
Usually Five to six hours
Fifty years of people, one room, one very good photo.

Bar & bat mitzvahs
Usually Five hours
Their big night. Photos they'll actually love.
Corporate & brand
End-of-year parties, conferences, launches and activations. Same cameras and lighting as everything else we run, with the print, the backdrop and the booth itself carrying your branding — and a data capture option if the point of the night is leads.
Schools & fundraisers
Formals and charity nights deserve the same polish as any other big night. We carry full public liability, and our technicians hold current Working With Children Checks for any event with students at it.

"Our photographer couldn’t possibly have got a pic of every loved one… seeing every guest got in the booth at least once was amazing!"
"We had up to 8 people in some photos, so everyone could take a copy home. We have filled our fridge with pictures from our wedding night."
"We received all the digital copies of our photos just 2 days after the wedding!"
"Planning a wedding is always stressful but working with Boothalicious was a total breeze."
Booking a booth — the questions we get first.
Which photo booth is best for my event?
The Futura Lux is the signature — hand-built, with a seat inside and your choice of curtain, and the one we would pick for most nights. The Open Booth takes over when the group is the point: up to 25 people in frame at once. Modula is for logos, launches and data capture. Every one runs the same professional camera, studio lighting and a 12-second print turnaround.
How long should we hire a photo booth for?
Most bookings land on the five-hour sweet spot or simply run all night — the best value per hour, and nobody has to watch the clock. If your venue has a hard finish, tell us and we will shape the booking around it.
How far in advance do photo booths book out?
Peak season — October through to Christmas — books out well ahead, driven by weddings and work parties. Outside that it can be surprisingly short notice. School formals cluster in September to November and charity nights in autumn. If your date is fixed, get in early.
Do you travel outside Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane?
Yes. Delivery within 25km is free and travel beyond that is quoted with the booking. The Mornington Peninsula and the Yarra Valley are regular runs, and we can travel to Geelong, Wollongong and the South Coast too — just ask.
Is the booth staffed?
We set up, then get out of the way. The booths are self-sufficient by design — a touch screen your grandparents will work out in seconds — so there is no stranger hovering at your party. A technician has it standing before your start time and packs it down after. Fifteen years of running booths means the known failure points are solved, and we have a remote link into every booth if it ever needs a hand. Rather have someone there all night? We can put an attendant on site.
Can we see the photos afterwards?
Every strip and every individual frame comes back to you as a digital gallery after the event. Guests take their prints home on the night; you get the lot.
